Don, I can't locate your phone number or I would call you. up. I fail to see why you can't at least take Pete's posting off. You took some off in the past and even said you thought you had them all off of your site. Why can't you take Pete's posting off? Why or why do people have to hurt other people? If I just had one dog or two and didn't sell them it wouldn't be so bad. But too many people believe what they see on the internet. I also have a different idea of breeding methods from you but that is each of our own choices. But I don't criticise you in any way. Someone even called me about your dogs and I only said positive things about them. I don't like to hurt other people.

....I stand corrected on the definition of slander. ......It is so sad when someone thinks it is good to get a discussion going of this type.......

I took your link off of the post in question. As far as the dicussion, it was your doing and it did call a lot of attention to you. I would have never dredged up stuff from 5 years ago, but that is me. I have worse things said about me on a daily basis, but, I got better things to do than worry about it. Sorry if your dogs are not selling but I really don't think that one post is the reason.

I did not dig this up. Someone else dug this up and had it on the 8th posisition in the Yahoo Search. My dogs are selling, that is not the problem. Thanks for what you have done. I know there is obviously this little "click" of people on your website. You need these people to have interaction on your website to keep it in force., and I assume many of them are also probably friends of yours.
I will bow out as life is too short to sit by a dumb computer using up time bickering and criticising.
Best of luck with your website and your dogs, Brenda

Seems to be that way sometimes Mac.....but from 5 years back? The internet can be as big a PITA as it is a source of good info but it just takes one person that digs through old stuff to be a pain.

I was inspired to do some digging since Brenda brought herself up. For the record, when I first joined this board I was thinking about the larger dogs - Oorangs if you will. I am NOT anti Oorgang or large dog. A simple google of Oorgang Airedales gives you many hits for many breeders, as well as websites from breed or rescue groups that state "Beware" of anyone using Oorgang lines as a selling point, and how the larger size isn't to the standard. Size vs Standard issues IMHO are mostly show folks - so I can't see how folks from this board would hop on that band wagon as working ability, regardless of size, is the main focus of this board.
So as I said I did dig, and used Brenda's search term along with "complaint" to see what came up. Funny thing, the search term she provided was a '.com' and only led you back to her website no matter how many pages you scrolled. But add a '.net' to her search term and it takes you to a site that is for sure anti-Brenda. Further poking about with the adjusted search terms led me to complaint sites showing screen shots of her webpage boasting OFA hips (but doggone if I could find any OFA records on the OFA site for the dogs listed- it could just be I didn't have the correct names to search, however.) Funny too, when I went to look at the original website to see the screen captured page it was gone and much text from other pages had been heavily edited.
Must have really PO'ed more than a few folks for them to buy a domain name so similar to her website as to misdirect Oorang type puppy seekers to that site, in the name of educating folks away from Brenda's website.
Now, in case someone gets all uppity about my searches, its all FACT and thus not libel. I'm just the messenger who got curious only because Brenda piqued my interest. And in terms of placement on a Google or Yahoo search, the more you search the higher the ranking - so if Brenda keeps searching herself she will soon make herself #1 in the search queue. Good thing or bad, she is at the helm of that ship.
A breeder here once told me, the only one who can ruin your reputation is yourself. I think these words are wise and true! If you are a breeder who stands by their word, who does not post fictitious information to build up their dogs, who cares about customer satisfaction, and who breeds for the betterment of their line vs making puppies to sell with huge size being the only standard adhered to... well..... you reap what you sow.
JMHO!

I have seen the crap that Brenda is speaking of. Someone out there either hates her guts, or can not stand the competition. One person, (from West Virginia) who is afraid to tell their name, has actually put up a shadow site...use .net instead of .com...I am pretty sure this is a illegal as all get out. Also, I first noticed this person commenting on what a bad breeder she is and the sick pup he got and that he knew a lot of other folk that has all kinds of problem pups from her. The fist time it was dated in 2009. The same story was reposted and dated 2011... When I e mailed this person for more info, I did not get a reply. Why would a person want to keep their name secret? Think about it. I just plain do not like dishonesty. And that is what I think is going on here.

This is NOT OLD STUFF... I read this and it is 2011. You can get domains free easily. I have had them. As for Brenda saying her dogs are OFA'd when they aren't? I called her this spring about her pups and I asked her about the mom, she flat out told me no. I also visited her place later, and walked the whole place. Her dogs are well fed, are in well kept huge kennels, get lots of attention and fresh air. I watched her for most of the afternoon as she interacted with these dogs, and explained different pro's and cons of each dog, and what thier personality was etc. She takes her Moms and pups in the house, and all the "dales I saw had beautiful conformation, which I know some dogs this big don't have. I have owned Airedales for 40 years apprx. So I know them. I am also a retired vet tek, and I also have experience in correct conformation of a lot of different kinds of critters. The dogs on her site are not the dogs she has now, its an old site. And Brenda, I would love to see ya update your pages. But this stuff that is on line is NOT 5 years old. This is happening NOW. What a shame that people who are Airedale owners must resort to untruths and innuendo because they are afraid of a little competition. Too bad. Shame. Just saying...
