Glad to hear it worked out Deuce. You have a cross that isn't available anywhere else. That pup is a 14 generation High Country. It is a 5/8 cross.....something most breeders today can't tell you. It is 5/8 HC and 3/8 E. German. Should be a very predictable dog. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

The pup is looking pretty fiesty Deuce. Are you having fun with her? Don Oh yea! She has great temperament, is extremely smart, and is very obedient. Another week and she'll have all her shots. We can go out and start working on some gun intro, more water intro, and start laying some blood tracks. She rough houses with the Patterdales and gives em a good workout. She holds her own okay and they are being good with her. She showed some interest in a raccoon on the side of the road tonight who was staring us down. Not bad for a young pup. Good times!

That is great! I feel that this 14 generation, 5/8 HC/3/8 EG possibly has more potential than most other crosses. Each side adds much needed traits for overall improvement. Keep me posted as I have never gotten to work with this particular cross. Had pups on both sides of it and could definitely see where a bit more or a bit less in certain areas would really be be an improvement. Don

Reyna's intro to birds went well. She retrieved the pigeons to hand unharmed. She has potential. I am going to send her to a trainer in a couple of weeks for some more intro stuff. So far I'm pleased. Not bad for 19 weeks! Here is a vid of one of her retrieves. Please critique in any way. I'm new to the birddog thing. I can take it. I know I shouldn't have repeated the come command but I was as excited as she was when she made the retrieve. youtu.be/sKqWPXL8XxQHere is a pic of my patterdale. I wanted to see if he would retrieve also. He decided the pigeon was just another varmint and finished it instantly. Oh well. At least one has potential! Lol Attachments:

Deuce this would be a fun pup to compete in the UKC spaniel tests with if it is still open. Tough to find anywhere to compete with a dale. Check it out.

I may end up doing the spaniel test and the working airedale test. It will be interesting to see how she does.
