I hope someone here might be able to help me find a breeder that breeds for upland bird hunting Airedales. We already have a Wheaten Terrier and are familiar with that type of breed. We live in central Wisconsin and woould like to find something close by if possible.
Any help we can receive would be appreciated. ;D

Welcome to the board BK. I don't know that the airedales has become specialized enough to breed specifically for upland game. You might just be looking for hunt with certain traits....like birdy, play fetch, not to independent. As far as close to Wis? That is a tough one. Where is Dale Burrrier located? Anyone?

Dale is in northern Ohio. There's a guy in Wisconsin named Mark........who has Cooley's stock out of Winston. I can picture him and can't for the life of me think of his last name. I don't know if he's breeding. We have a bitch in heat and will be breeding her. We've hunted a bird or two, with Airedales, over the past 20 years. This is from Iowa last month. Dave

You betcha they are! I figured you were going to bust me for posting about pups when I haven't posted here in a long time! I do read here several times/week! The Airedale in the pic is Rocky. He'd hunted about 6 hours that day and it was in the 60's. He wasn't really hustling back with that rooster. Iowa was tough this year due to the heat. Dave

Bust you for what Dave. Maybe for not posting but not for mentioning pups when someone is looking. I would have mentioned you myself but I didn't figure you were much closer than I am.LOL I wasn't sure where that other none poster, Dale, was but I thought he was up that way somewhere. When ya don't post, we just never know when ya have pups. Wouldn't hurt to hear from you now and again. ;D ;D I got 4 -8 mo old pups not for sale ;D Just bred Odin and Blondie, a first for both at about 2 1/2 years each but the down side of first timers is having to keep a male and a female to see how they turn out.

Hello airedale,
Kentucky isn't to bad for me and if you could remember Marks last name might also help.
My other hobby is flying planes so any excuse I can come up with to do that would work for me.
Can you call me at my office this week?
Bill Knighton 800-298-4351 Ext 102
Thanks
