Hi all, I was a member before but never posted much: my name is Penny Taylor and I'm in the UK with my Redline Airedale and a heap of lurchers. The reason I re-discovered this board is because I Googled Airedale running dog crosses and found a real interesing thread about a litter of Airedale/Stag crosses back in 2006. My own Airedale was accidently mated by my Saluki/Grey last summer: and I was interested to see how these Airedale/Stags turned out. My pups are 5 months old at present and I'll try to get some photos up when I figure out how to do the Photobucket thing. My Airedale was bred by a guy who brought his dogs back from Canada a few years ago and she is everything I could have wished for in a dog: great companion, great hunting dog, adapts to many different tasks and is everything that people told me Airedales were all about.

Hello Penny & welcome, & Happy New Year. I can't wait to here about those airedale lurchers, how they looking? Fast, I hope. Any pics? I'm going to try & call Pete tonight & see if he has any updates on his. This is a video of Pete's airedale stag f1 w/nutria & jagd. the jagd flushes them & the lurcher offs them,- they killed 17 one day w/out either dog needing a stitch. cheers, workingairedale.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=2867&page=1

Welcome jnordeen. Sorry to hear about your dog. I haven't been keeping tabs on who has what so I can't steer you anywhere and I don't have anything until Griff mans up. Kind of late getting on here because I had to go to the valley and get a new stove. I was cooking dinner last night when mine started making wierd noises and sounded like it was going to take of when the sparks started flying. Had 3 burners going and the oven....guess it just couldn't take it. Anyway, if I hear of anything I will post it but I am not around much this time of year.

Hello.. I am a sixty year old retired teacher. We have had Airedales forever here at our home in N.Ohio. Now, we are caring for Aggie who is an 11 year old darling from Lawence Alexanders line. We just lost her brother Titus. They were our hunters. I spoke with Don about acquiring a pup and we are eagerly awaiting the time.....Griff is the spitting image of Titus. Looking forward to a new start.

Dave, are you writing part of my bio? We seem to be much alike in some respects. I have been told so many times my dogs won't bite to protect me....all I can say is "show me". This may work either way. If my dogs do bite, it will just be passed off as "well no one ever said "no" dog will bite without training." The second will be, "they are fear biters". The second excuse is why the dogs will have free choice to cur or not....but some will still play that card. The nice thing, you and I will know first hand one way or the other and I figure either of us can handle it if it doesn't work out the way we "think" it will. But, we still need a camera person because I don't want you to get hurt. ;D

I've been a member for a few months now but am just now getting around to announcing myself. I'm a professional dog trainer in San Angelo, Texas, training since 2002. I've owned and worked with a lot of breeds, but have never owned a dale. I'm excited about the versatility of working dales, and the knowledge and enthusiasm shown on the threads. In the near future I'll be looking for a schutzhund quality pup, and plan on using the breed experts here as a resource.
Regards,
Robert

Just to introduce myself I'm John Q., professional dog trainer and long time Airedale man. My current dale is 11 years old and out of Henry Johnson's Sandhill line. I'm waiting on a similar bred pup soon and hope to add something from a German line when it becomes available. A Griff pup would be fine if it happens.

I'm Rob;
Moved from Maine to Kansas about three years ago. Have hunted most of my life. Got into terrier work about 15 years ago, have run vermin with 5-6 Russells since then and have been around dales off and on over the years and have come to respect the type.
I have six Russells today; four working terriers who are in their geriatric years, one who comes from a working line, has the nose, but lacks the courage, and young male who turned on before he was a year old and has improved since (he's now three). Nothing better to me then seeing a dog do its job.
I became a member of this forum because I have an interest in acquiring a dale from working lines to use as a versatile dog. I hope to learn and am not in a hurry. Just want to find the right terrier from the right lines and learn from folks like yourself.

Hello all, my name is Randy Nelson and I have been involved with hunting and dogs for over 40 years. Spent some time hog hunting and helped with showing my wife's bull terriers. I got turned on to Airedales several years ago and never looked back. I feel I have found the ultimate breed of dog and will do my best to improve the breed and put them in a positive light. I am focused on producing stand-out, loving, even tempered dogs that possess enough gritt, hunting drive, and ability to handle any task you put in front of them whether it be hunting, search and rescue, farm and ranch or just general good ol companions.
I love to talk to people that are passionate about Airedales so don't hesitate to contact me if you are curious about my line or just want to talk Airedales.
