Hi there. My name is Deanna and i just joined a few moments ago. I have two airedales and a sheltie/pom mix. My airedales are Trevor, 5 years old, has arthritis, does not work anymore, but had been trained for protection since he was six months old. Lilybug, 2 1/2 years old, no protection training, but we do obediance, rally, agility, and basicly anything else i can teach by my self. i have no found any trainers in the Houston area that i have been satisfied with. My sheltie/pom mix is Mr.Peanut. 17 years old, he pretty much just lays around, eating and pooping all day. every now and then he gets a little spry and puts the airedales back in their place. As for myself, i am a full time college student, and have been working with dogs for six years, but ihave never done any really schutzhund training. hopefully this will change soon. well, Hello everyone! deanna ;D

HI all well I was raised by airedales from a pup I remember riding ol mike at age 4. They did a good job teaching me and my 6 brothers how to hunt on our farm here in MI. I have had airedales on and off all my days, now that my busy days are a little slower I have time to enjoy the companionship again of my airedales,I have a 2yr old bitch and was surfing the net and found your old site I asked a guy if he had ever heard of the airedale lionheart breed that I used to have. After a trip from MI. to CA. I now have and a stud 9 mo. old 110 lb's.Don I will post pic's as soon as I know how to,I am not much of a joinner but will post time to time. Thanks 50merc100

Okay, I joined this list about a month and a half ago so I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Marlin and I am in central WA. We have had Dales for the past five years so I decided to breed my male to a bitch that I leased from a breeder specifically to get a litter. Out of that litter I retained two males and raised them for a year and a half hoping for a hunting pair. "Booker" was the most aggressive of the two. He would chase anything that moved from a shopping bag blowing in the wind to a housecat beside the road after jumping out of a moving pickup. He also tried to chase something that he saw moving under a weed beater that was operating which led to his demise. I shed more than a few tears over that incident. I still have "Ace" but he is a lot more skeptical and laid back. He is going to be neutered before he is 2 yrs and his only job will be being a companion and farm watchdog for the rest of his days. So here I am without a Real Working Airedale. I hope to look for another pup later this summer. Meanwhile I'll just lurk here and I just know that I'll learn something new about this amazing breed of dog. Oh yeah, My wife and I operate a grooming shop and boarding kennel. She raises and shows Bichons.
