If one was interested in starting a puppy in the protection sports, what books should be read? Is anyone competing in the PSA Trial on June 6th and 7th in Baltimore, MD? If not, is anyone attending?

Ron you going from birds to bites? Below gives good guidance. You can get it on Amazon. Lot of puppy to young dog development. Training the Competitive Working Dog by Tom Rose, Lyn St.Clair-Stubbs, Gary Patterson, and Linda Jackson

Go to Leerburgs site, Ivan B videos are good for starters. THE INTERNET, books, and videos can only take you so far. Find a mentor/club in your area. Find a competent trainer also, not some fly -by-night trainer. If you plan to race horses in the Kentucky Derby, don't go to a MULE trainer.
