There are two acceptable left about turns. The handler's movement is the same in both cases - a tight almost pirouette like turn to the left. (1) Have the dog wrap around you clockwise in front so that when you have turned 180 degrees counterclockwise the dog is at your left and ready to continue heeling (2) Have the dog do a backward hop as he turns his whole body around on a dime counterclockwise and he ends up in heel position when you have also turned 180 detrees counterclockwise.
Madonna does the former. Turk does the latter.
Both were taught motivationally using the tug. Both were taught after they had completely mastered the regular AKC about turn. I have never lost a point on an about turn and I've never had to use much correction. See Ivan Balabanov's tape.

Pinch collar work is like a good tennis serve. Timing not force..
"Benevolent Schutzhund Airedale Handler" Hmmmm an interesting concept. Ive been wanting to meet one as well as an honest politician for a very long time.

Sometimes gambling is really a great option to have a great time. I choose only quality casinos for myself because it is important for me to play and not only lose, but also make a profit from my entertainment. I think many people will understand me in this regard. So keep in mind.
