I'm here Sorry, didnt have even a chance to login for a long while... Thank you, Curt, for letting the world know about my Airedale We had 2 legs in Utility (AKC Obedience) completed by the beginning of this year. I never was a huge fan of AKC obedience (I love schutzhund obedience) - too many things designed long time ago, they dont promote and encourage drive, speed, etc. Your dog can veer off the ring during heeling and you still will be able to qualify, but if you've done 6 exercises perfect and failed one - you get 0 (zero) for the whole routine. Also, in Southern California it became a sport for older kind of ladies, very, very seldom you can find a guy there. Plus, I'm training my Mal in schutzhund anyway, have a bunch of friends there... To make this shorter - in the end of January Tiara had her BH in a USA trial under Nathanial Roque as a judge. In a trial with about 12-15 Mals and GSD she was the only Airedale! She did very good! I got a lot of compliments from the judge and everyone there. Some older folks used to seeing Airedales before, but not for a long while... Unfortunately, I dont have any video or pictures About the future... Will finish last leg of UD sometimes this year (dont want to quit uncompleted) and will try to go after Sch I...
