I'm not sure if this is against the rules on this list, but this is SAR related, so.... The dog team that got the AKC Dog of the Year for their efforts in Katrina are hosting with their fire department, their annual seminar. I'll be one of the three instructors in Human Remains Detection. Last year I got to torture the advanced dog teams. For trailers/trackers, Mark Holmes is an excellant instructor who handles bloodhounds, but I've watched him help many breeds. For area search dog handlers, Sarah Garfunkel is out of Wisonsin and also a NASAR evaluator. For those that would like to spread the idea that I'm doing this to make money, I might get expenses paid this year. Everyone that's at this seminar teaches to serve the SAR community and the public. The seminar is in Scottsville, TX, the first week of March '08. Information is at: www.ci.shreveport.la.us/dept/fire/one/SeminarInformation.pdfJim
