Gonna miss my first CGC opportunity due to brain surgery. Dang it anyways. I was so pumped to get Lowboi there, he's ready now, but not old enough. Now medical crud is getting in my way. GRRRRRR. Hopefully, I'm recovered enough to take the test with him sometime in the fall.

If I am reading this right, you are going to have some brain surgery. I sure hope that goes all right. I have been under the weather for about 4 days and not reading everything on the board. You are in my thoughts and there will always be another time to test your dogs. Take care.

Ditto the Don - I will say a prayer all goes well with the surgery! And the CGC tests are held frequently at shows - you should have no problem finding one.

Dawn, I'll be sending prayers your way. I'm sure you will be held safely in God's hands. It's not that you can't do it...it's just going to be on a little different timeline than you planned...hang in there!

thank you all for your kind thoughts. I will be having my surgery in hendersonville, NC at Park Ridge Hospital. (yes I do live in WA State, it's a long story). I'm in on june 19 for the big adventure. Then 2 days of being super doped up, from what I hear. Then sit around the hospital and recoup. Anyone in that area? I'm always up for a game of bones, cribbage or cards.

Dawn,
Sorry to hear about your surgery! I understand what it’s like to have medical stuff interfere with life; it’s really the pits. I had my appendix out right after I got Roofus, and could not wait to get home to my dog. He mastered the game of “catch” while I was recovering, but I can’t imagine having a recovery last up to 2 months; really hope everything goes well for you, and please post updates as you are able.

Lowboi is your partner and like all good partners he will wait for you. The CGC is frequently offered, so as you say, deal with the medical crud, then look forward to many *great* working days ahead with Lowboi. Best wishes, Debbie
