I have recently gotten a BMC pup. She is about 11 weeks old and 20 lbs. I will post some pictures once i find the cord to upload pictures on the computer. Anyone care to post some pictures of their dog doing some hunting? I have some live traps set to she how she feels about raccoons, but haven't caught one yet.

I took out two dogs and my BMC pup tonight. The dogs located a coon inside of a tree and were able to enlarge the hole enough to get inside and pull the critter down. However neither of the dogs had the grit to pull the coon out of the tree and finish it. For a good while the dogs would bay and spar with the coon though the hole until the coon would try to climb back up inside of the tree… then one of the dogs would go back in and pull the coon down. After a good while of this I decided that if the dogs wouldn’t get the coon out, I wouldn’t do it for them. I pulled the dogs back and the coon scooted out of the hole and up the outside of the tree to the top. I kept the cur pup back once the coon showed his face, but the pup showed definite interest. Pictures will follow…..

Hey Robs, that is a good looking pup. If I didn't have dales I would have BMC's for sure. I don't get down in the training sections much because I don't get into training much. I figure a good fur dog just need exposure to the game. Great photos. That picture of that draw with all the trees down just tires me out. Is the whole area like that?

Thanks for the comment. The terrain is pretty varied. Some areas are flat, but the streams and rivers cause some steep valleys. Once you get off of the trails you can get some good exercise.
I have just been getting her in the woods as much as I can, but she is still too young to meet up with a coon. I did take a fresh roadkilled coon and drag it around on a rope and let her rag it a bit.

The dog with the prick ears is a red heeler. the other is a chowxbeaglexmutt.
I dont know what blood lines the BMC is.
