Short Vid of a 9 month GSN training protection in prey drive. No threat to the young dog (no defense). Terms sometimes seem confusing when a dog is grabbing a sleeve but this appears pretty clear. Most people starting out with young dogs can make mistakes using whips heavy body contact etc with a young dog. So, the sleeve is the reward in itself and the distractions aren't added in until the foundation is solid?

Yep the sleeve is the reward. Have even used it in obedience. The prey thing (booty drive), catching after chase is a powerful motivator.
The long and sort of prey training its a great way to get started with a young dog. it can also be used to salvage a dog that has had bad training experiences at a tender age.
