Got a quick ? Are Airedales really as versatile as they say I ve trained many other dogs for both fur and feather but the problem is if you let them kill fur try as I might just can't keep them from crushing the birds even with extensive force training. Also workable gun range suffers as well with the tracking it takes to hunt raccoons

With no training your concerns will probably occur but with training, one can teach them the difference between running a trail for fur, upland bird hunting and retrieving. I'm not saying it is always easy but it can be done. It is a matter of balance. If you specialize in fur and expect your Airedale to flawlessly execute a bird hunt, this is fantasy.
