Video's of training the heel

Here is a couple of video's of 3 of the dogs I am starting on heel work. They are probably as boring to watch as it was training. So far they have had 3 sessions of about 20 min each, so a total for each dog of 1 hour training.

This first one is Lucifer 10 months old and never been on a leash.

This one is Magoo. 8 months old and never been on a leash.

No they aren't perfect, but, they only have another 1 1/2 hours of training.....for a total of 2 1/2 hrs. Dogs are in the same order with the strongest 1st, the weakest 2nd, and the middle one 3rd. Anyone that wants perfection just need to do the same boring thing longer. As you can see, they are never physically put into the heal position.....they are guided to the position.

They are not perfect, but, they are heeling off leash. You can see they haven't, nor are the used to distractions such as the two strangers trying to do the camera work. They still have 2 1/2 hours of heel work up to this point and are off leash in the wild blue yonder. Dog # 3 got a correction for freezing in front of the camera folks......but they haven't really been work through distractions.....obviously.
