I'm sorry, but Melanie is not in charge. At the moment Fran is and I am the vice president. And about the treasury. Much of that money was donated by me, Stew Tartiff and Owen Tober. We could always present bills for our services. Stop the power play right not Melanie. There will be a nominating committee formed and proper elections will be held. Maugh

No power play going on. A week ago no one would even respond. Now that they are responding, I'm pulling a power play? Bull. You got a personal problrm with me, keep it personal. It doesn't benefit Airedales or NAWATA. Geez. [glow=red,2,300]Mel[/glow]

Regardless of the politics of the current NAWATA i would hate to see it die. As a schutzhund person espesally. If it was a viable option i deffinitly would join and help where i could

There is the story about the boy who got up at dawn, played his guitar, the sun came up and he was convinced he had to get up and play everyday or the sun wouldn't come up.....
NAWATA has been under pressure by AWDF to get some ducks in a row. Much of what has happened on this list has been counter productive. Funds and materials have not been transferred on time.
It is the guidance and pressure of AWDF that is moving things forwards.

I hope that isnt the case I myself have stated i dont care one way or the other But We have Many times been asked on Both this board and Dons old board about NAWATA. The website hasnt had anything done with it since 2003 and the only e-mail responce anyone gets is a return..... As an Outsider Looking In I cant see anything counter productive about it all I see Is a Bunch Of People trien to figure out whats goin On and How to Make it better.

Sure is a slow mover then. They are really doing all this for a couple of member club. I don't care one way or the other "Ladies". I know a good idea when I hear one and I liked Dave Morgans idea better than any I have heard thus far. For starters, clubs and such are very time consuming and restrictive deals considering by laws and those dam Robert's Rules. An informal, free registry will tell the tale....of interest, of numbers etc. I don't think any registry is safe tied to a club. A registry should be an independent entity. Being on this board for free, it is also there for anyone(member) to copy. Piece of cake in my mind. No one is burdened with a lot of work as would be in a club. If Maugh thinks this horse can get up and run again, so be it. It is actually veryn oneside anyway and not exactly what I had in mind. This started out to be a simple working airedale registry. It has been blown into clubs now. A club won't work....especially one with a very single focused direction like NAWATA. It was su[ppoised to be a simple hunting/working airedale registry. Nothing more, nothing less.

Clubs and/or organizations carry a lot of baggage. That is not the answer. Me, I just like to go out and train. Yesterday I trained all day with a group that has no organization at all except that it is a group of all-breed handlers who like to get together when they can. I thought, "This is the life!" as dogs and I trudged through the snow finding, flushing and fetching birds. As I see it, NAWATA exists so that those few people who participate in Schutzhund have an opportunity to compete. For the hunting people there is the H/W activities which Dave Morgan is working hard to organize (as he says to "do stuff" rather than bog down on organizational matters) and the impromptu activities that are described on this board. As far as registries are concerned, I personally think Dave's idea is best. Keep it away from the baggage of an organization. Most of us would rather train than push papers, OR? ?? Maugh
